Def Leppard have released a trailer showing the contents of their new live package London To Vegas.

Although he's recorded and released plenty of music in the last three decades, Italian DJ Woody Bianchi is better-known amongst the crate digging community for the quality, size and depth of his record collection. As a fellow dusty-fingered disco collector, Joey Negro is well aware of Bianchi's digging pedigree - hence offering him the chance to compile the latest edition in the essential "Under The Influence" series. It's naturally a treat from start to finish, offering a highlight-filled journey through disco, disco-funk, boogie and jazz-funk that will be eye-opening to all but the most dedicated diggers. Our picks include Bianchi's own edit of Ipaema Brothers' "Rio De Janeiro", the thrillingly up-tempo madness of Formula One's "Can You Feel It" and the boogie brilliance of Original Just Us's "You're My Latest Inspiration".

Glenn Hughes, “The Voice Of Rock”, first came to prominence in Trapeze, a band featuring future Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley, and future Judas Priest drummer, Dave Holland. Following their third album, “You Are The Music, We’re Just The Band”, Glenn joined Deep Purple in 1973 for their “Burn”, “Stormbringer” and “Come Taste The Band” albums. Deep Purple split in 1976, with its members following various solo and side-projects. The first fruits of Glenn’s post Purple career appeared with “Play Me Out” (also available on Purple Records), issued in July 1977. Glenn would go on to collaborate with Pat Thrall in Hughes-Thrall, Joe Lynn Turner in the Hughes-Turner Project, with Tony Iommi in Black Sabbath, plus pursue a prolific solo career through the 1990s and beyond.

What a great album - imagine Julee Cruise doing the soundtrack to Killing Eve? Or Mazzy Star miraculously transported back to ye-ye France. A heady air of dislocation envelops Drab City’s debut album, where songs of innocence and experience merge with dub, hip-hop, dream-pop and jazzy soundtrack vibes to intoxicating effect.

Josie Cotton is a classic example of an artist whose entire career is overshadowed by one song. This album's hit, the in-dubious-taste "Johnny Are You Queer?," was such a controversial song at the time of its 1982 release that the rest of this fine album was overlooked in the brouhaha. That's a shame, because Convertible Music is a classic of the whole California girly pop scene of the early '80s, on a level with the Go Go's' Beauty and the Beat, Bonnie Hayes' Good Clean Fun, and the first Bangles EP. The songs, mostly either by Cotton herself or her producers, Bobby and Larson Paine, are neat '60s pastiches with elements of surf (the glorious opener, "He Could Be the One"), Shangri-Las-style melodrama (the sultry "I Need the Night Tonight"), and Farfisa-driven swoony pop bliss ("Rockin' Love," "So Close"). Cotton's voice, which can switch from a bratty whine to a sexy purr from one line to the next, is perfect for this kind of disposable pop, and the production, though a tiny bit slick at times, is sympathetic to the unapologetic good times on display. Convertible Music is one of the most perfectly named albums ever; this is the sort of music that sounds best with the top down on the way to the beach.
