S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky proves that the developers at GSC really listened to the community, and while it still isn't a flawless ride, Clear Sky does a great job of delivering on some of the promises that the original game didn't reach.

The events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat unfold shortly after the end of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl following the ending in which Strelok destroys the C-Consciousness. Having discovered the open path to the Zone's center, the government decides to stage a large-scale operation to take control of the Chernobyl nuclear plant.

Year 2011. Five years passed since the Second Disaster, which eclipsed the events of April 1986. It features an alternate reality theme, where a second nuclear disaster occurs at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the near future and causes strange changes in the area around it. The game has a non-linear storyline and features gameplay elements such as trading and two-way communication with NPCs. The game includes elements of role-playing and business simulation games.
