Greenleaf Music is proud to announce the January 31, 2025 release of Some Days Are Better: The Lost Scores, a wide-ranging, expansive new project celebrating the legacy of one of the great, original voices in contemporary jazz, Kenny Wheeler.

Carlos Rafael Rivera, Assistant Professor and Director of the Media Writing and Production program at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami has teamed again with acclaimed writer/director Scott Frank to score the Netflix limited Series The Queen’s Gambit, which premieres October 23, 2020.

Recorded September 2020 to July 2023, the record took shape slowly but surely as the band meticulously perfected their sound. Often guarded, 'It Leads To This' keeps its ace in the pack up its sleeve, biding its time until all the right pieces fall in place, giving way to a beautiful, cinematic experience on every track. Conceptually the record is Soord's efforts to better understand himself & the world around him.

The Epiphoni Consort follow up on their acclaimed debut, of music by David Bednall, with a portrait album of another young choral composer on the ascendant.

Tchaikovsky’s incidental music to the play “The Snow Maiden” by Alexander Ostrovsky is undoubtedly his principal contribution to this genre. The composer and the poet were jointly commissioned to write the piece by the famous Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, which led to a close and very productive cooperation. In fact, Tchaikovsky completed the lavishly scored work within a matter of only three weeks.

H to He, Who Am the Only One is the third album by the British progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator. It was released in 1970 on Charisma Records. The band recorded the album in several stages throughout mid 1970 in Trident Studios with producer John Anthony. The songs mentioned a killer shark in "Killer", lost love in "Lost" and science fiction material in "Pioneers Over c". Bassist Nic Potter left the group in August partway through recording, with organist Hugh Banton covering on bass guitar in the studio and playing bass pedals in concert. King Crimson's Robert Fripp made a guest appearance on guitar, and the cover was the first of several by the band to feature the artwork of Paul Whitehead.
