After performing hundreds of concerts throughout Europe, enchanting thousands of people and playing festivals alongside all time greats like Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Manfred Mann and Asia, Echoes are now one of the premier Pink Floyd Tribute Bands. To echo the music has never been enough for this band and so the elaborate live shows convey the grandeur in all its facets. The "Süddeutsche Zeitung" simply calls it a spectacle.

Although there are three original compositions, including the title track, featured here, the majority of Possessed is made up of string quartet remakes of Kraftwerk songs. Given that the precision of the German electronic band's songs bear no small resemblance to Baroque classicism, the Balanescu Quartet needs to do little to make their covers work than to play them straight.

The Flower Kings like to call their music "symphonic rock". This is appropriate, as there are loads of influences present, from classic music to 70s metal. However, their sound is surprisingly unique. They tend to have really cinematic melodies that are supplemented by riveting drums and gritty vocals…
