In the mid-’70s, long after The Beatles had officially parted ways, John Lennon recorded a series of demos straight to cassette tape in his home in New York City. After his death in 1980, his wife, Yoko Ono, passed the tapes to the remaining Beatles, and in 1995, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison began work on a trio of new Beatles songs born from Lennon’s sketches. You’ve heard a couple of them before—“Real Love” and “Free as a Bird”—but one of them never came to fruition during those sessions.

In 2006, the Beatles coaxed producer George Martin out of retirement to remix and rearrange several of their iconic songs for Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas stage production Love. Martin, though, had a worry: At age 80 his hearing had turned difficult, and so he brought in a collaborator: his son Giles. The younger Martin had produced classical music, as well as recordings by Kula Shaker, Jeff Beck, Elvis Costello and Kate Bush. “He’s my ears,” George Martin said. What ears they turned out to be: Giles recombined parts of many of the Beatles’ songs into a mash-up of the band’s audio history, sometimes encapsulating much of it in a single song. “Get Back” opened with George Harrison’s memorable thrum from “A Hard Day’s Night” and Ringo Starr’s drum prologue from “The End,” caught sight of an overpassing jet from “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” pulled in part of the audience’s expectant murmur from “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and borrowed a bit of the orchestral swell from “A Day in the Life,” landing on John Lennon’s “Glass Onion.”

Hey Jude (original title: The Beatles Again) is a 1970 collection of non-album singles and B-sides by the Beatles. Originally released in the United States and various other markets, but not in the United Kingdom, it consists of non-album singles and B-sides not previously issued on an American Beatles LP; this includes "I Should Have Known Better" and "Can't Buy Me Love", two singles released by Capitol Records whose only previous American album appearance had been on the A Hard Day's Night soundtrack album, which had been released by United Artists Records. The Hey Jude LP has been out of print since the late 1980s, although it remained available on cassette during the 1990s. The album was issued on CD for the first time in 2014, as an individual release and in a box set titled The U.S. Albums. It is named after the Beatles' longest-running No. 1 single "Hey Jude", itself the seventh track of the compilation.

The album is newly mixed by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo, sourced directly from the four-track masters at Abbey Road Studios in London. Here's this newly re-mixed stereo track of the legendary album, along with fresh remixes of Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane, all taken from the ADVD disc, released as part of the Super Deluxe Edition.

The Beatles - "Now and Then" [7" Single] The Beatles' double-A-side single for "Now And Then" and "Love Me Do" pairs the last Beatles song with the band's first UK single. Powerful musical bookends to The Beatles' recorded canon, both songs are also featured in the expanded 2023 Editions for 1962-1966 ('The Red Album') and 1967-1970 ('The Blue Album'). "Now And Then" is the last Beatles song, written and demoed by John Lennon in the mid/late 1970s. With John's voice now pristine in the mix, "Now And Then" features elements from the 1995 sessions including George Harrison's guitar parts, and vocal and instrumental parts recorded by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in 2022, along with a new arrangement for strings. Produced by Paul and Giles Martin, "Now And Then" is the last song recorded by all four Beatles, a powerful and fitting finale for the band's timeless recordings. The song that started it all, "Love Me Do" was The Beatles' first UK single in 1962. For the first time, the iconic song has been de-mixed using machine aided learning and remixed in true stereo. "Love Me Do" launched The Beatles' journey to unparalleled worldwide success and acclaim that continues to this day.
