Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky 7 May 1840 – 6 November 1893) was a Russian composer of the Romantic period. He was the first Russian composer whose music would make a lasting impression internationally. He wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the current classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, the 1812 Overture, his First Piano Concerto, Violin Concerto, the Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy, several symphonies, and the opera Eugene Onegin.

The Best of The Classics Vol. 4 (Disc IV) is a classical compilation CD released by the Madacy label of Canada. While the disc and packaging lacks a date of release, it seems to be of 1990's vintage. The CD also lacks artist and production credits, which means it could be a series of artists or one artist performing everything. Who is responsible for these tracks will remain unknown. Take a chance.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer, also known as ELP, are an English progressive rock supergroup. They found success in the 1970s and sold over forty million albums and headlined large stadium concerts. The band consists of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass guitar, vocals, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion). They are one of the most commercially successful progressive rock bands and from the outset focused on combining classical pieces with rock music.

Gerard Ralph Schwarz is one of the world's leading conductors, particularly noted for music of the first great age of American symphonism. He has also been one of the great trumpet virtuosi.He began studying the trumpet when he was a boy of eight. He attended the National Music Camp in Interlochen, Michigan during the summers of 1958-1960 and studied at New York's High School of Performing Arts (the Fame school). He studied trumpet with William Vacchiano, trumpeter of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra (1962-1968). He received his Bachelor's Degree from the Juilliard School in 1972. Meanwhile, he had debuted as a conductor in 1966.

Her varied programs, such as "Napoli!" and "A Night in London", reflect her commitment to bridging different eras and styles.
