"Live In London," the highly anticipated release from legendary British Reggae group Aswad. This album marks a new era for the band, their first feature release in over a decade, making it a poignant moment in Aswad’s storied career. With the passing of the late great Angus "Drummie Zeb" Gaye, this album stands as a powerful tribute to his memory, indomitable spirit and will for the work to continue.

This collection celebrates the early recordings of Julie London, a much underrated singer, but one who will always be remembered for the wonderful 'Cry Me A River'. These 40 tracks highlight her unique smoky, subtle, sultry vocal style.

Three-disc, 64-track collection. The folk revival that took place at club level during the Sixties introduced a whole new audience to traditional folksong, while also bringing to the fore the concept of the earnest young singer/songwriter. When, by the end of the decade, centuries-old songs were being given a sonic makeover by the new breed of electric folkies (headed by the likes of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span, both of whom are represented on this collection), folk music had long since escaped out of the clubs and into the charts. This companion piece to similar 3CD sets concentrating on the Irish and Scottish folk scenes focuses on the astonishing depth of talent emanating from the English folk scene during this most tumultuous of decades. Every facet of the English folk genre is encompassed, ranging from club singers and trad folksong revivalists like Isla Cameron and Shirley Collins, the post-Dylan singer/songwriter (Donovan, Ralph McTell), folk-based fusion act Pentangle, and even such turn-of-the-decade acid folk iconoclasts as Synathesia and the mighty Comus.

The Wintyr is an alternative folktronic trio based in the cities of London & Cape Town. Consisting of songwriter and frontwoman Evelyn Hart, Tristan Carmicheal (synth, piano & guitars) and Brendyn Rossouw (percussion), the group was formed in studio as they came together to write material and produce tracks for Evelyn’s solo album. The collaboration resulted in a significant progression in sound and energy, characterised by ethereal vocals, soaring synths and warlike oriental-inspired percussion. Combined with a storyteller’s depth, The Wintyr’s music has been described as cinematic & emotive, eliciting comparisons to the music of London Grammar, The Naked & Famous and M83. Following two years of work, an album was born. ‘Fury’ will have it’s official worldwide release in the Fall of 2017 and will see the band embarking on promotional trips to the United States and United Kingdom.

Like the Velvet Underground, their most obvious influence, the chart success of the Jesus and Mary Chain was virtually nonexistent, but their artistic impact was incalculable; quite simply, the Scottish group made the world safe for white noise, orchestrating a sound dense in squalling feedback that served as an inspiration to everyone from My Bloody Valentine to Dinosaur Jr. Though the supporting players drifted in and out of focus, the heart of the Mary Chain remained vocalists and guitarists William and Jim Reid, Scottish-born brothers heavily influenced not only by underground legends like the Velvets and the Stooges but also by the sonic grandeur and pop savvy of Phil Spector and Brian Wilson.
