The Killing Tide

Getting underway from New York harbor, Naval Assault: The Killing Tide tells the story of the Allied submariner effort against Axis forces across the key naval warzones of World War II. Players will captain an arsenal of faithfully recreated U.S. Naval submarines against enemy warship assaults both above and below the water’s surface. In Naval Assault: The Killing Tide, players will need a healthy dose of stealth and cunning as well as sharp-shooting deck gun and torpedo skills to successfully destroy the enemy fleets in the 30 missions throughout the game.

Four years ago, Ashraf Al-Khaled and his bride were celebrating what was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, when an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber walked into their wedding and blew himself up, killing both of their fathers in front of their eyes. The couple lost 27 members of their family that day. It's a sad fact that stories like Ashraf's pepper the news almost daily. In the last 5 years, over 88,000 people have been killed or injured in terrorist attacks worldwide.

It was the U-boat submarine that spearheaded the German attempt to destroy the allied war effort, and they very nearly succeeded - over 3,500 allied ships bringing vital supplies from the United States and Canada to Europe were lost to their fire power. The programme follows a team of divers and historians as they explore the U-boat wrecks which have remained untouched for nearly 70 years, telling the stories of the U-boat war - the key events, the heroes and villains, and the changing tide of technological advances. Motion graphics, moving first-hand testimony and detailed expert analysis brings the most important battle of World War Two back to life.
