In 2 one hour films, Ol’ Man River explores all these faces of the world’s most famous river and reveals that, in the words of its most well known admirer, Mark Twain.

The family is uncommonly close: Michael’s childless Auntie Hankie and Uncle Irving, glamorous Hollywood screenwriters, are doubly related— Hankie is his father’s sister, and Irving is his mother’s brother. The two families live near each other in Laurel Canyon. In this strangely intertwined world, even the author’s grandmothers—who dislike each other—share a nearby apartment.

One of the best live blues albums of the 1990s was Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers' Live at B.B.King's in Memphis from 1993. That album won the Indie Award in 1994 for Best Blues Recording. Now fans have another live album from the same year recorded at Mick Fleetwood's short-lived club in Alexandria, VA. Rod wanted to release these exuberant performances to show the incredible musicianship, versatility, and tightness of one of the finest Mighty Flyers line-ups in his four decades of leading the band.

Producer, songwriter and vocalist Mike Vernon’s award winning career has encompassed the birth of British blues including Clapton, Peter Green, Fleetwood Mac etc. He also worked with the younger David Bowie, Focus and soul singer Andrew Roachford.

Vocal powerhouse Izo Fitzroy exploded on to the scene in 2017 with her debut LP 'Skyline', the album incorporating a stunning fusion of styles spanning gospel, funk and soul as Izo's raw bluesy tone and direct lyricism took centre stage. Her new album 'How The Mighty Fall' builds further on the soul foundations of her debut. Recorded between Paris, London and Sheffield, it sees her collaborating with three stellar producers and a host of talented musicians.
