Kevin Kern’s fifth album for Real Music is another sweet and soothing musical journey to the gentle side of life. Kevin is a master of melody with a heartfelt message, and this is the perfect music to comfort and uplift mind and soul.
Kevin composes many of his pieces for relaxation, so there are no sharp edges or jarring chords. Kern’s music is as smooth as silk and as tranquil as a spring breeze.
Пятый альбом известного пианиста Kevin'a Kern'a "Embracing the Wind" - еще одно мелодичное и поистине музыкальное путешествие к светлой стороне нашей жизни.
Monte Montgomery tears it up on the fretboard and the mic, and he's brought a strong rhythm section just for reinforcement. His guitar playing describes a true wealth of sounds–just picture a slap-bass player on an acoustic steel string with a penchant for Stevie Ray Vaughn, and you'll be in the ballpark. At the same time, his blazing fingerstyle, precise, percussive accompaniment, and exceedingly creative use of harmonics are only part of his truly unique guitar style. And Montgomery's outstanding technique does not prevent him from delivering a clear, melodic solo that dances through the changes. The folk-tinged songwriting is well developed, and this man's got stuff to say about life and love. In fact, Montgomery is an impressive, versatile vocalist in his own right……
The Screen Behind the Mirror is a 2000 music album created by the musical project Enigma. It is Enigma's fourth album. Recorded at the A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain, it was released worldwide by Virgin Records.
The Screen Behind The Mirror released as the fourth album in the Enigma line. It brought the project to what would become a maturity of the "first age" in the saga, being the last album to use the old Enigma style where fresh ideas infused with mystery, philosophy, and sensuality were extensively coupled with samples from other and older works. In the case of The Screen Behind The Mirror this was done with Carl Orff's famous Carmina Burana, most specifically O Fortuna, a movement lamenting the woes of fortune. Especially Gravity of Love and Camera Obscura makes use of it.
This CD is markable reissue of very rare first LP of Somei Satoh. Like several other composers of his generation, Somei Satoh has an affinity for mysticism and meditation, and he attempts to convey stillness and timelessness in his extremely slow music. His works may be described as ambient, but their minor key harmonies and step-wise melodies seem more conventional than the blurred, unearthly sonorities usually found in that atmospheric genre.
