A Kiss in the Dreamhouse is the fifth studio album by British rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released on 5 November 1982 by Polydor Records. The record marked a change of musical direction, as the group used strings for the first time and experimented in the studio. Guitarist John McGeoch played more instruments, including recorder and piano. For Julian Marszalek of The Quietus, the release proved the Banshees to be "one of the great British psychedelic bands" of the post-punk era. In August 2007, it was ranked No. 1 on Mojo magazine's list of the best albums of 1982.

For reasons never made entirely clear, Ennio Morricone's completed score for the 1988 afterlife fantasy What Dreams May Come was rejected by producers just weeks prior to the film's arrival in theaters. Composer Michael Kamen was recruited to replace Morricone at the 11th hour, and for a rush job, it's a remarkably accomplished and creative work, beautifully conveying the possibilities of life after death in a manner that's neither heavy-handed nor ponderous.

This movie tells the true story of John Reed, a radical American journalist around the time of World War I. He soon meets Louise Bryant, a respectable married woman, who dumps her husband for Reed and becomes an important feminist and radical in her own right. After involvement with labor and political disputes in the US, they go to Russia in time for the October Revolution in 1917, when the Communists siezed power. Inspired, they return to the US, hoping to lead a similar revolution. A particularly fascinating aspect of the movie is the inclusion of interviews with "witnesses", the real-life surviving participants in the events of the movie.
