The Pulse of The Earth

Vocalist Theo Bleckmann is best known for creating vast sonic spaces with subverbal textures, electronics, and with the help of backing musicians such as John Hollenbeck, Ben Monder, or the band Kneebody. On "Hello Earth", Bleckmann showcases his mastery of affective and lyrical nuances with interpretations of songs by British art rocker Kate Bush.

The processing and analyzing of materials by short laser pulses demonstrates a significant scientific, technological, and industrial potential that has been revealed largely over the last decade. This book presents chapters of literature reviews written by experts from the international scientific community.

Blackout Wars is about the historically unprecedented threat to our electronic civilization from its dependence on the electric power grid. Most Americans have experienced temporary blackouts, and regard them as merely an inconvenience. Some Americans have experienced more protracted local and regional blackouts, as in the aftermaths of Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina, and may be better able to imagine the consequences of a nationwide blackout lasting months or years, that plunges the entire United States into the dark.

Vathres is a new project led by Stockholm-based keyboardist and composer Alex Zethson. Their debut record consists of three extensive pieces of cinematic, transcendental, and minimalist post-rock music, with elements of experimental jazz and shimmering electronics. It features a 14-piece ensemble and appearances by guitar-wizard Reine Fiske (Dungen), former Pain of Salvation and Meshuggah-bassist Gustaf Hielm and Cult of Luna-drummer Christian Augustin, among others. The music was recorded, mixed and co-produced by Anton Toorell, and mastered by Mell Dettmer.
