Dominic Fortune #1-4 (Of 4) Complete
RS & Hotfile | 4 CBR | Marvel Comics | Aug 12 - Nov 25 2009 | 81.2 MB Total

is a fictional 1930s costumed adventurer owned by Marvel Comics created by Howard Chaykin and based on the Scorpion, Chaykin's character for the failed Atlas/Seaboard Comics company. In June, 2009 was published as part of Marvel Comics' digital initiative. Written by Dean Motter, it featured the original Dominic Fortune in tales set during the 1930s. This was later followed in August by the current featured four-part miniseries published under Marvel's mature MAX imprint. Written and illustrated by Howard Chaykin, this miniseries is also set in the 1930s and features the original character. Chaykin, one of the masters of old fashioned, pulp-influenced comics art is in rare and breathtaking swashbuckling form here. The pages are full of raw and vicious action interspersed with generous portions of humor and sexual tension, giving the scenes set in the past a thrilling sort of contemporary feel. More sexually explicit and definitely more graphic and violent than most books you might find from the '30s, but the story is definitely true to those roots.
