The Stranded

is a 12-issue limited series published by DC Comics beginning in May 2008 and concluding April 2009, (cover dates July 2008 to June 2009). It is based on the original comic book series of the same title and by the same publisher featuring a mix of science fiction and World War II motifs, that chronicled the adventures of a group of American soldiers stranded on an uncharted prehistoric Pacific island populated with dinosaurs, and that ran from 1960 to 1968. This 2008-2009 limited series has comics characters from the DC Universe in the role of the stranded soldiers of the original, pitting the , and versus the , the and the against the backdrop of prehistoric Dinosaur Island (created in 1946 in Batman #35).
