The Wizards

Wizards of Ooze are hyper funky Belgian group, based in Antwerp. Began in the nineties called "Vibes Ahead Alliance" as imitator of "Jazz dance" genre (Gilles Peterson, Young Disciples, US3, Jamiroquay, Guru …). The core of the group are Wim Tops and Peter Revalk, who will also already played in small disco-funk bands, and adhere to experiments with house, techno and ragga muffin ventured. In 1992, a jazzy demo is well received by record companies Creastars who invest immediately decide what studio time at Tops and Revalk. Their debut EP "The Bone" which was first introduced in October 1992. These (mostly) instrumental track has since become a classic and became a club hit in the Benelux and England, and landed on numerous compilations, including "Totally Wired 10" by the London label Acid Jazz.
