On 18th February 1889 at the High Court in Edinburgh, a shocking trial opened. The defendant was a 27-year-old woman, accused of the murders of three babies. She was not their mother, but had adopted them by a crude means known as 'baby farming.' But Jessie King had no intention of keeping the babies she had taken in for money. Vulnerable, uneducated and penniless, the young woman struggled to survive. She appeared willing to do whatever was asked of her, by anyone she saw as a figure of authority. Could it be that Jessie's lover took advantage of her easily manipulated nature? 30 years her senior, and an unemployed alcoholic, Thomas Pearson had to find ways and means to feed his addiction… With expert opinion and drama reconstruction, the programme is presented by John Morrison.

This Japanese box set contains three consecutive entries in King Crimson's live and studio archival releases. The specific volumes in question are the tenth, 11th, and 13th from Discipline Global Mobile's Collectors' Club mail-order-only series covering Live in Central Park, NYC '74, the pre-Krim Discipline: Live at Moles Club, 1981, and the last gasp of the '90s double-trio incarnation on the Nashville Rehearsals, 1997. The July 1, 1974, concert in Central Park was the final King Crimson performance by the '70s quartet. While the recording is very good - not great - the group's spirited musical antics more than make up for any lack of audio fidelity. With the notable exception of "21st Century Schizoid Man," the band draws primarily from material on the Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Starless and Bible Black, and Red albums, respectively…

Mission accomplished, with The Soul Of The King making a bracing return to some of King's greatest cuts. There's a heartfelt turn from Michael Lee on The Thrill Is Gone. Mary Griffin and Taj Mahal combine their vocal and guitar talents on Paying The Cost To Be The Boss. Kenny Neal lends poignant vocals and licks to Sweet Little Angel. 'Recording with the different artists and the band was an enlightening experience,' reflects Harvey. 'Everyone came in prepared, but when Mary Griffin came to record, she came in all bubbly - and nailed her vocals in two takes.'

Desire of the Rhino King is a compilation of songs from Belew's three albums, Lone Rhino, Twang Bar King, and Desire Caught By the Tail. This generous, 20-track album epitomizes Adrian Belew in all his avant garde glory, complete with information about all three albums written by Belew himself…

The 2012 two-disc anthology The Blues King's Best compiles many of legendary guitarist B.B. King's recordings. The first disc features studio recordings from 1949 to 1960 and the second disc showcases live recordings from various dates over the years – some well past 1960. Included are such stellar studio recordings as "B.B. Boogie," "Please Love Me," "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," "The Thrill Is Gone," "How Blue Can You Get?," and many others. This a solid collection that works well as a thorough overview of King's long career.
