"The Lace" is the only solo album by Cars' bassist and member Benjamin Orr. It was released on October 6, 1986 by Elektra Records and features his only solo hit, the song "Stay the Night" which reached the Top 40 in 1987. A follow-up single "Too Hot to Stop" was also released but failed to chart. Wounded Bird Records re-released the album on CD on August 15, 2006.

"Sunflower" is an album by vibraphonist Milt Jackson recorded in 1972 and released on the CTI label. Assisting Jackson are trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, a star-studded rhythm section composed chiefly of Miles Davis alumni, and, on the first track, string and woodwind accompaniment, courtesy of Don Sebesky.

Coles Corner, the follow up to previous albums on Setanta, Late Night Final (2001) and Lowedges (2003), was recorded at Yellowarch Studio in Sheffield, singer/songwriter Hawley's hometown and is a beautiful album, filled with nostalgia, emotion and romance. The album's orchestral splendour sits alongside earthy rock and roll with songs that are by turns intimate and soaring. Richard Hawley insists his mind is full only with 'confused thoughts and Guinness'. But when he sings, he does so in a voice that's deep and low, and does not lie. Lady’s Bridge by lauded singer-songwriter Richard Hawley is an ode to his native Sheffield. Made up of 11 charming songs that switch between the romantic strains of opener "Valentine" and "Roll River Roll" to more uppity numbers such as the rhythm & blues infused "Serious" and the countrified twang of tracks like "Tonight the Streets Are Ours" and "Dark Road".
