From instantly recognizable garage stompers to Latin-soaked club tunes, Tim Deluxe has produced some very direct dance hits over the course of his career. So the U-turn he presents on his 2014 album, The Radicle, may come as a surprise to some. It transpires that after the throwaway success of his chart toppers - referring to "Rip Groove," concocted as part of the garage group Double 99, and "It Just Won't Do" - and his experiences within the dance music industry, Deluxe needed to change direction. So he actively surrounded himself with jazz and blues musicians, eventually forming a collective, and said collective would become the defining feature of The Radicle, as it casually blends live jazz and blues alongside conventional house music production and form…
Tim Deluxe went from being just another British DJ/producer to a brand-name hitmaker, releasing one smash single after another during the early 2000s. He also brought much acclaim to Darren Emerson's Underwater Records in the process, with big vocal-driven tracks like "It Just Won't Do" and "Less Talk, More Action." Deluxe started on his road to fame as a club DJ, a pastime he initially pursued while working at a London-based record store during the '90s. He then began producing tracks as well, collaborating with Omar Amidora and Andy Lysandrou in the short-lived group Double 99. The group scored itself a huge hit in 1997 with "RIP Groove," an anthem that got spun everywhere from London to Ibiza and was also compiled on myriad compilations…

Well preceded by a pair of killer singles ("It Just Won't Do" and "Less Talk More Action!"), The Little Ginger Club Kid aims to be an audacious debut full-length for Tim Deluxe. And indeed this colorful release by Darren Emerson's generally on-point Underwater Records label largely hits the mark, bundling those killer singles with nine similarly fun-spirited tracks that should delight anyone who'd already taken note of this talented Brit and his exuberant style of vocal-driven house music. If you're not one of those people who'd already taken note of Deluxe when "It Just Won't Do" and "Less Talk More Action!" were burning up dancefloors from London to Ibiza during 2002-2003…
A lot of his fans probably don't know it but Tim Deluxe was actually half the brains behind speed garage stormer 'R.I.P. Groove' all those years back in '97. Since then he was also heavily involved with underground house label Cross Section Records and as we all know released multiple tracks through Darren Emerson's Underwater Records including his most famous 'It Just Won't Do' featuring vocals by Sam Obernik. This track brought Tim worldwide fame but of course came along with the usual criticism of any commercially successfully track. But this ginger kid who has definitely grown up takes it all in his stride explaining, you've just got to get on with it. I don't really pay too much attention…
