“The goal was to make the greatest rock record of all time”, The Villains own Dan Call says, when discussing the motivation behind writing and recording the band’s new album, One More Time. “We didn’t want to leave anything on the field. Every song had to be as strong or stronger than the one before it.” Then with a short laugh he adds, “Now it’s up to the universe to decide.” Certainly, no one would accuse The Villains of not being ambitious. Mention the bands lofty hopes of creating a ‘tour de force’ to any fan or music industry insider and they will all tell you the same thing: “They just might do it.” From the opening track ‘Love Is’ to the funk inspired rock of first single ‘Believe In The Music’, One More Time is a blistering ten song statement that rock is still alive and well. Sometimes referred to as ‘America’s Greatest Rock Band’, The Villains have carved out their place with passion, hard work, and a dedication to deliver music and a live show that their fans deserve, all the time…every time. One More Time takes the band to the next level as evidenced in the songs, vision, and production.

Progressive Metal is an European affair. Right? This is what the Europeans think at least. And this annoys many American bands to hell and back. But the EU prog nerds have a point. There’s just no real cool prog that emanates from across the pond anymore. The only thing we seem to get these days is preposterous news about how their government behaves itself. Okay, you will find exceptions like the excellent Moon Haven that RMR just recently reviewed. But then, these guys are arguably more on alt-metal territory than anywhere else.

It has been a decade since Escape Music released the classic Welcome to America album in 2006 by Taz Taylor and it is a really strong album with none other than Rainbow singer Graham Bonnet on lead vocals. Three years later and Straight Up was released with Keith Slack (MSG) taking the mike stand. The album also featured Don Airey (Rainbow / Deep Purple) on keyboards. After these two really strong releases the Taz Taylor band decided to go instrumental and tour dates ensued with the likes of Ace Frehley, L A Guns, Molly Hatchet, Dokken, Skid Row, MSG and Great White to name but a few. Bringing us up to the present day it's time to return to a line-up that includes a vocalist and so Taz has used the incredible vocal talents of Chandler Mogel (Outloud / Punky Meadows)…

4th exciting instrumental Electronic Music album from this German band that are bridging the void between PINK FLOYD, VANGELIS and TANGERINE DREAM! CINEMA is the current Electronic Music project of Jürgen "Pöngse" Krutzsch, a musician already well known in Krautrock circles for his contributions to the 70’s band TIBET. Using synthesizers, sequencers, organs, choirs, guitars and oriental and rock rhythms, Pöngse - supported by Brigitte Grafe and guitarist Benjamin Peiser expertly crafts this varied melodic, rhythmic electronic soundtrack to create an incredibly infectious musical melange that is reminiscent in a wide range of styles, from moments of PINK FLOYD to awakenings associated with TANGERINE DREAM, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield and Schiller!

Valerie June's eagerly awaited second album, The Order of Time, set for release in January 2017, justifies the immense promise she exhibited on her acclaimed debut, Pushin' Against A Stone. Unfolding like a novella, June sketches detailed, three-dimensional portraits of real people struggling with dreams, defeat, hope and life, in this 12-track song cycle. Musically, the genre-defying singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has redefined herself again, infusing inspirations like Tom Waits, Nina Simone, Leonard Cohen and Fela Kuti into her unique blend of folk, blues, gospel and soul. As in life, a harrowing bite of bitterness can surely be felt in many of these songs and on others; June's ethereal soundscapes prove the perfect setting for her honeyed, childlike voice as she pleas for simplicity and a better world.

Maybe one day when you wake up you'll notice that your mind drifts in another reality. Then you will realize that it has set off on a trip… a journey outside time. Time is a witness to the past, the present… and the future. Everything has its time and place. Nothing is left to chance. It is time for "Outside Time". It is the moment of Old Future Crash.
Old Future Crash, best to bring back memories of a splendor age of the music. Old Future Crash is distinguished for sounding very close to Symphonic Rock of the late 70's and early 80's. The result is music of such quality. A wink to the wonderful musical age starred by Jeff Lynne and his E. L.O., ultimately, the revival of a well known musical style, but with the strength, ideas and enthusiasm of a new band.
