A new supergroup featuring Haino Keiji, one of the world's most powerful and original guitarist/vocalists, Bill Laswell, contemporary music's most personal and experimental bassists and Rashied Ali, Coltrane alumni and godfather of free jazz drumming. Haino is pulled kicking and literally screaming to new heights of inspiration by the most dynamic rhythm section he has ever worked with. Passionate, ear wrenching and exhilaratingly sounds from three of today's most creative and uncompromising musical masters.
Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is the sixth studio album by English indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. It will be released on 11 May 2018 through the Domino Recording Company, following up AM (2013). It is produced by frequent Arctic Monkeys collaborator James Ford and band frontman Alex Turner. The album was written by Turner on a piano, and features a lush sound; a departure from the band's previous guitar-heavy work. Its lyrical content is influenced by science fiction, and explores politics, religion and technology.
The album was written with the support of "IMBIT" (Institute of Medical and Biological Information Technologies). The main activity of the Institute of IMBIT, founded in 1996, is the creation of audio-psychocorrectional programs, that is, programs that affect the human subconscious mind using sound information. One such element is the music. Her task: to maintain an optimal psycho-physiological state throughout the session. Cooperation with Eguana has been going on for many years, as the compositions created are most relevant to our tasks.
The British band Tranquility only had two records released and both hit our shores in 1972. Psychedelic folk/rock music was all the rage and this record is a fine example of the genre - very well made music -thoroughly enjoyable record.
