Trummer

Olivia Trummer (born 12 June 1985 in Stuttgart) is a German Jazz musician (pianist, vocalist, composer). Trummer was raised in a family of musicians and was honored five times at Jugend musiziert as a federal award winner. Since 2003 she studied jazz piano as well as classical piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. In 2008/2009 she completed a master's degree at the Manhattan School of Music. All courses she graduated with honors. During her studies in 2004 and 2006, she was commissioned to write compositions for stage and film music.

The performance at the "Panorama Music Festival" in the Italian Dolomites was the starting signal for the progressive intertwining of two paths in life that have a great common denominator: the love of jazz as the epitome of a symbiosis of freedom, sophistication and lively interaction.

Born in Stuttgart as the daughter of a pair of pianists, Olivia Trummer initially trained in classical music, but even then she flirted with jazz as a highly present form of spontaneous expression. Under the influence of song monoliths such as Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, the coordinates of free music, song structure and classical music finally found their own musical language, always turned towards the sublime. Now she adds a 9th album to her versatile discography.

The newcomer can condense a lot of time to build their pieces, they always listen to each other, they communicate, they relax the atmosphere and at the right moments - and without doubt have allies Miss Trummer a keen sense of drama and dynamics.

Olivia Trummer confirms with her second album her great talent. All songs are her own compositions and original material. Their music has matured and virtuosity, but without sacrificing quality and catchiness. Olivia Trummer remains true to her style refreshing lightness.
