How do you wage war with an enemy who surrounds you at all times but remains forever out of sight? This was the question raised by filmmaker Alexander Sokurov as he journeyed to the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border to interview the Russian soldiers trapped in a perpetual state of danger and desolation. As the weary soldiers await the arrival of an enemy who may never materialize, Sokurov embeds himself with them to offer one of the most unique and involved portrayals of military quandary ever committed to celluloid.

The story AWAKENING FROM THE DEAD takes place at the beginning of the bombing, both in Belgrade and in one small town in Serbia, at the end of March 1999. Forty-year-old Mickey, an unaccomplished writer, a disillusioned assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, a discouraged democrat and a columnist, dismissed from a famous daily newspaper, emerges from his own grave and enters into his own life.

A school boy finds a time machine and he helps Alisa, a scientist girl in the future, to save a mind-reading device from space pirates. Chased by the pirates and followed by Alisa he saves the device bringing it back to his own time.

The film is from the cycle “Hundred Years in future”. The hero returned from the cosmic flight and he didn’t learn his planet who people changed into a dirty desert. For adults

Awesome video of entirely original footage which captures up with some of New York's legends talking about their lives back in the day. Who held down which lines and how no real writer ever bought paint delivered in a typical New York style. The interviews are nicely done with the artists left to talk on at length about their lives and their beefs in a candid and honest way. Life was tough but no one seems to be complaining - in fact you can see most wouldn't mind going back in time save for the call of family and responsibilities. Volume 1 was great but you can see the progression in quality with this video.
