U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin formed in 1976. The group consists of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion). On January 13, 2022, U2 announced their newest fan club subscription gift, Achtung Baby 30 Live for the 2022 subscription year. The gift will be a limited edition CD set in a “special presentation package” featuring live tracks from Achtung Baby recorded over the last thirty years. Downloads of select tracks will be made available in advance of the physical release, and a full download will be available after the CD is sent to subscribers. The tracks are all taken from Achtung Baby from various tours throughout the years, and all of the tracks are unreleased to date with the exception of “Zoo Station” (Live from Buenos Aires, March 2, 2006) which was previously released on the “Window in the Skies“ single, and “Mysterious Ways” (Live from Cape Town, February 18, 2011) which was featured on the “U22“ fan club album. The gift will come in a photo booklet, and will include commentary by author Bill Flanagan, who accompanied the band on their Zoo TV tour.

Initially announced January 24, 2020, the fan club gift from U2.com is a full length video release of U2’s final performance on the Experience and Innocence tour. The gift was made available both in a DVD format and as an online 4K stream via U2.Com for the length of a subscription. The DVD was already in production when the announcement was made, and had already been submitted for ratings.The video is the full concert, running two hours and 20 minutes, and the description on the website says it covers “from the unforgettable opening burst of ‘The Blackout’ and ‘Lights of Home’.” The previously aired television special from this Berlin footage ran 75 minutes and cut out the first act of the concert. The fan club release contains the entire show.

Melon: Remixes for Propaganda was a groundbreaking collection of nineties U2 tracks remixed by leading DJ's and producers. Released in 1995 exclusively to subscribers of U2's long-running fan club magazine Propaganda, the title Melon was a play on 'Lemon' and the Paul Oakenfold/Steve Osborne remix which had become a huge summer club hit. With remixes by The Soul Assassins, David Morales and Massive Attack, the limited edition CD quickly became a global collectors item.

Released in the Spring of 1995, Melon was the first ever "Fan Club" disc done by U2. It was released with issue #21 of the subscription only magazine, Propaganda. The CD itself was made up of various remixes of tracks released throughout the 90s. Some of these remixes had been released before, where as others such as the Stay (Underdog Mix) were previously unheard. It quickly became a much sought out CD among U2 fans.
