Vampire Weekend

We are thrilled to announce the sixth collaboration CD between Rough Trade Shops and End of The Road Festival. As always, the tracks are selected by festival co-founder and curator Simon Taffe from artists on this year’s line up. The 18 track compilation, featuring music from Vampire Weekend, St Vincent, Gruff Rhys, Julia Holter and many more, will be available exclusively from Rough Trade Shops on 1st June before going on general release on 22nd June. “It always excites me to put this compilation together but condensing a whole weekend’s worth of incredible music into 74 minutes is almost impossible. What you hopefully get here is an impression, a feel for 2018 and a line up which we think has come together just right this year.” — Simon Taffe

Grammy award winning artist RAC (pronounced Ar-Ay-Cee)—known as André Allen Anjos releases his highly anticipated new album EGO via Counter Records. The record follows the release of Anjos’ 2014 album Strangers, which SPIN called, “…an impossibly smooth listen.” With this release, Anjos is re-directing RAC to songwriting which accounts for the record’s intimate but full-lunged tone, as heard on the records’ second single “I Still Wanna Know,” featuring vocals and a guitar solo from Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo as well as additional production by Classixx.

For the last 15 years, DD Horns have been a force of nature in the studio, helping other musicians to create hit records. A Los Angeles based wrecking crew of a horn section comprised of Danny T. Levin on brass and David Moyer on woodwinds, you've likely already heard them play, as their collective resume is staggering: Iggy Pop, Snoop Dogg, Vampire Weekend, Noel Gallagher, Twenty-one Pilots, Regina Spektor, Gary Clark Jr., Diplo, Rilo Kiley, Psychic Temple, Paloma Faith, Bleached, The Front Bottoms, Matt Nathanson, Breakestra, Bernard Fanning, English Beat, and Carina Round… just to name a few of the artists they have recorded and/or performed with.

Since the release of his debut album in 2011, SBTRKT has cemented his role as one of the most acclaimed electronic artists and performers around. What began as praise in his hometown of London has now reached to every corner of the globe.

Major Lazer is a collaborative project produced by Diplo(AKA Wesley Pentz) - the Grammy nominated founder of Mad Decent Records and one of the most pioneering artists of thetime. Their 2010 mixtape Lazerproof and EP Lazers Never Die paved the way for a collaboration with Beyonce on her massive hit Run the World (Girls). In 2013 Major Lazer s second full length album Free The Universe - featuring Bruno Mars, Tyga, Flux Pavillion, Wynter Gordon, Shaggy, Wyclef, and Ezra Koening from Vampire Weekend was globally released.
