Rock Werchter, one of the greatest festivals in the world. What once started as a little one day festival in 1975 in Werchter Belgium in a tent, has now become very big, and lasts four days; with multiple podia. This CD is a compilation of the countless groups that since 1975 have visited the festival, although some names are missing, despite the fact that they made the festival what it is today. To name but a few of the better known names : U 2, Metallica, maybe this has to do with royalties but also bands like Midnight Oil and the long forgotten The Alarm are missing.

Named after a coffee table book from fashion photographer Helmut Newton, White Women is an equally titillating, prose-free, and '80s-embracing effort from Canadian electro-pop duo Chromeo, who are hitting their stride when it comes to hooks, although they arguably stumble when it comes to cute. Case in point is a light electro lark called "Sexy Socialite," an easy singalong candidate if "I could be your boyfriend and your counselor" and other cringe-worthy bits didn't drive the track off the cheeky cliff, but this minor speed bump is overshadowed by 11 other cuts that could have come from a Prince side project launched during the fruitful Purple Rain era…

2014 album from the singer/songwriter. A celebratory, love-struck album of sublime dream pop, Walk Through Walls was born at a time of profound sadness. In 2011, on the day Herzig was scheduled to launch The Waking Sleep tour, her mother, Cheryl, passed away after several years of battling cancer. For the nine months that followed, Katie toured the world in what she calls 'a difficult, emotional blur.' Then after playing a set at Bonnaroo, Katie found herself standing in the middle of 50,000 people watching Radiohead play their show. ''I was so inspired and so scared, because I suddenly had that old, familiar feeling that I just had to go home and create. But I hadn't written a song since my mom passed away, and I was terrified.'' The result is Walk Through Walls, a collection of 12 songs recorded with co-producer Cason Cooley at their studios in Nashville, TN and mixed by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend) at Blackbird Studios in Nashville.
