Flute and sax player Harold McNair is best known to pop and rock fans for his work as a session man on numerous Donovan recordings. However, he did come from the world of jazz, and it's not a surprise to find that this 1970 album (released shortly before his death) is very much an instrumental jazz recording. At the same time, it's not wholly devoid of influence from pop, rock, folk, and blues, particularly as some of the players will be recognizable to many rock fans.

Long Walk Home is an album based on the music from the film Rabbit Proof Fence. Written and produced by Peter, the album is the end result of two years work with the film’s director Phillip Noyce and brings together a multitude of different musical origins, cultures, instruments and vocalists.

Larry Porter, Andreas Lang and Joe Smith have been working together for five years now and have covered a lot of ground during this time. Interpreting standards is one area they've particularly developed. Many of the performances on this CD feature a more collective approach. Instead of one solo after another, the three musicians enter into a dialogue where each can contribute and respond as he wishes. While this idea may not be new, its realization has remained fairly elusive. Therefore the band is excited about being able to present the results of its efforts to you.

After the rhythm & blues band The Paramounts disbanded in 1966, singer Gary Brooker helped form Procol Harum early in 1967.In July 1967 the band got their first #1 hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale", co-written by Brooker & Reid, becoming one of the first real "symphonic rock" songs. A lot of albums and singles were released afterwards, but never enjoyed the success of their first single.
