The three women that make up the early music ensemble Sinfonye tap into some of medieval France’s more lively and entertaining repertoire in this generously filled program of 13th-century songs and motets. Not surprisingly for performances of music from this period, the singers have assumed a certain interpretive license, not only in terms of the specifics of the vocal lines but also regarding accompaniments, which include the delightfully reedy sounds of hurdy-gurdy and medieval fiddle. In some cases, they begin with a piece in its more formal written form–a motet–and extract what probably was the original melody that inspired it.

Pygmalion, c'est Narcisse créateur. Au lieu de s'éprendre de lui-même dans son propre reflet, il s'éprend de lui-même dans son reflet "second", sa création. S'adressant à la statue, Pygmalion chante : "Se peut-il que tu sois l'ouvrage de ma main ?" Poser la question, c'est y répondre. Apothéose de l'autosatisfaction.

Recorded in August of 1998 in Baden-Baden, Germany, at Ohne Filter, the Ford Blues Band took the stage and proceeded to rock the house. The music itself is fantastic! That was the real treat here. The music. At one point I closed my eyes and lost myself in the tunes.With Patrick Ford – drums, Andy Just – harp and vocals, Volker Striffler – guitar and vocals, and Dewayne Pate – bass and vocals, the band delivers solid blues rock to an appreciative audience……

Recorded in the South of France with producers Fred Jimenez and Stephane Reynaud, enigmatic French singer/songwriter Jean-Louis Murat's 21st studio album, Grand Lièvre, eschews the blues-rock of its 2009 predecessor, Le Cours Ordinaire des Choses, in favor of a more alternative direction inspired by American indie bands Swell and Silver Jews.

In 1976, it was the appropriate moment to release an Ange live album. Their fame is at their peak (in France, and to a certain extent in Belgium) and they have recorded several great symphonic albums. I would say that this live album is a pivotal turnpoint in Ange's career. They will still produce some great albums after this recording but the density of the previous ones will never be matched again…
