One of the most exciting and unusual musical encounters to have taken place in recent years: Plácido Domingo, world-renowned opera tenor, met Pablo Sáinz Villegas who Domingo hailed Villegas as, “The master of the guitar”. Upon meeting on stage in June 2016 at a benefit concert marking Domingo’s seventy-fifth birthday held in Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium before an audience of 80,000 enthusiastic spectators. The high point of this magical night of music was “Adiós Granada” from the one-act zarzuela Emigrantes by Tomás Barrera that dates from 1905. Afterwards Pablo Villegas spoke of the great energy and inspiration that he felt as a result of this encounter.

Raimunda, her daughter Paula and her sister Sole travel from Madrid to the windy and superstitious village of Alcanfor de las Infantas to visit the grave of their mother and aunt Irene, who died years ago in a fire with her husband. Then they visit Irene's sister Paula, an old senile aunt that raised Raimunda after the death of her parents that insists to tell them that Irene is alive and living with her; later, they go to the house of her neighbor and friend Agustina, who gives a support to Paula…..

Recorded live in May 2018 in the small church of Casola (BO), solo for bandoneon and flute, this fourth musical chapter of Maver is the transformation of a feeling, where listening outside and inside is a goal, thanks to as a listener and performer they find themselves together in a total experience. Volver is music that comes from silence and that is attracted by silence. The solo does not entertain, undress. The choice to play solo allows Maver to keep the sounds of the instruments pure, working in subtraction and leaving an almost decisive role to the pauses.

«Tutti quei morti ammazzati, e io ancora senza giustizia». Serve coraggio quando si parte, ma a volte ne serve ancora di più quando si torna. È il luglio del 1940, l'Italia è in guerra. Ricciardi - preoccupato per la figlia Marta e per i suoceri, in grave pericolo a causa delle origini ebraiche - ha ormai trasferito la famiglia a Fortino, il paese dove è nato. Lì, nei luoghi dell'infanzia, sperava di avere un po' di quiete. Invece, mentre in città il fido brigadiere Maione cerca di salvare un comune amico da morte certa, tra le montagne del Cilento il commissario è messo faccia a faccia con un passato che avrebbe voluto scordare. Per lui, e non solo per lui, è arrivato il momento di regolare i conti con la propria storia. Del resto è questo, quasi sempre, il destino di chi torna.
