Fairport Convention, live from the Fillmore East in 1970 Fairport Convention’s attempt to reinvigorate traditional English folk music succeeded against a cultural backdrop of loud guitars and nascent stadium rock similar to the folk revival across the Atlantic. With Liege & Lief having given the band a foothold at home and in America, their next album Full House would have to work harder to consolidate on the success, with the absence of Sandy Denny’s vocal charisma and two new members. History has of course taught us that this revised line-up would become the definitive version and Full House would become their most widely acclaimed album before Richard Thompson opted to move out. Touring across the USA with Jethro Tull at Fillmore West and Traffic and Mott The Hoople at Fillmore East, Fairport’s US trek saw a revitalised band eager to please and comfortable in its own skin, and after 5 albums in the space of 2 years, that was a rarity. London Calling revisits the first and last night of their celebrated 3 nightly run at the Fillmore East in June 1970. Presented with a fully restored and professionally remastered original WNEW-FM broadcast, this special edition also features background notes and timeline photos.

Beast from the East is a live album recorded by the American heavy metal band Dokken in Japan in April 1988, during tour in support of their album Back for the Attack. It was released on November 16, 1988. The album features live versions of the band's most popular songs from previous four studio albums and also includes a new studio track entitled "Walk Away".

The pianist Jan Gerdes is one of the most interesting and versatile musicians of his generation.

ENDE VOM LIED is a genre-spanning collection of punk, post-punk and avant-garde bands from the former East Germany, chronicling the work of free spirits pitted against government restraints and implied genre limitations. The underground scene in the GDR was a hydra, a noisy mix of musicians, poets, pain¬ters, photographers, filmmakers, punks and freaks. In the immediate aftermath of the primal scream that was punk, music often bred with poetry or painting in short-lived liaisons or enduring collaborations to produce a new generation of genre bastards. With the lines blurring between forms, a search for new shapes began. In the German Democratic Republic, this search constituted a tightrope walk, a dance for expression between subculture and a dictatorship.

Rob's latest album, Walk The Walk, is produced by double Grammy winner Paul Brown. The album has elements of blues, funk and R&B all woven around a hip contemporary smooth groove. Several tracks feature east coast sax player Andrew Neu, Michael Paulo on sax and Paul Brown on guitar.
