Kelis Was Here is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Kelis, released August 22, 2006 by Jive Records. It features production by Bangladesh, Raphael Saadiq, Max Martin, Sean Garrett, and Scott Storch, among others, and also features collaborations with will.i.am, Nas, Cee-Lo, Too Short, and Spragga Benz. The album received a nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 2007 Grammy Awards and is notable for being the first Kelis record to feature no production from longtime collaborators The Neptunes.
Danish tenor sax-man Bent Jaedig left his mark while he was here. At his funeral in 2004, one speaker said, “He lived jazz, and he was a jazz musician with a capitol J so large, that it reaches the sky”. He was a sharp, modern jazz musician, and for long periods, his home and career were south of the Danish border. A true cosmopolitan and jazz nomad, from the mid-1950’s and on he played with the most important modern European jazz musicians and visiting American stars: Chet Baker, Benny Bailey, Lucky Thompson, Dusko Goykovich, Tete Monoliu, Don Byas, Bill Coleman, George Coleman, Carlos Ward, Mal Waldron, Philly Joe Jones and many, many more. He was offered Sal Nistico’s chair in Woody Herman’s orchestra but had to turn the offer down due to difficulties obtaining an American green card.
Although Dennis DeYoung's concept about man being replaced by robots in the near future failed to get off the ground, Kilroy Was Here still harbored two of the band's best singles. "Don't Let It End" almost captures the same endearing qualities as their number one hit, "Babe," did four years earlier, peaking at number six, and the synthesized novelty of "Mr. Roboto" went all the way to number three, accompanied by a lively and rather extravagant Dennis DeYoung at the helm…

Kilroy Was Here is the eleventh studio album by the rock band Styx, released on February 22, 1983. The album is named after a famous World War II graffito, 'Kilroy was here'. It was the final album of original material to be released by the "classic" lineup of Dennis DeYoung, Tommy Shaw, James "J.Y." Young, John Panozzo, and Chuck Panozzo. The album is certified platinum. As of 2018, it is the last studio album by the band to be certified platinum.
