Lost 80s presents 63 tracks compiled and themed by Gary Crowley disc by disc, from 'Jingly Jangly' indie-pop 7"s to the extended 12" that so much marked the era. Many of these tracks are rare and very hard to find having not appeared on any CDs before.

While Slade's early to mid-'70s hit repertoire represents one of the most perfect runs in British rock history and has been amply anthologized accordingly, it is often easy to forget that their career did not end when the number ones did. Slade kept going until the early '90s, enjoying a roller coaster of highs and lows as they did so, and this package delves into most of them. Picking up in 1979, as the band came off a short-lived stint with manager Chas Chandler's Barn label, and fading out with the band's last proper LP, 1987's You Boys Make Big Noize, the package runs through 17 songs, but eschews, peculiarly, the hits for which the period is best remembered.

6 CD-Set, the third volume of outstanding Krautrock that will surely do your head in… again! Krautrock was (and still is) a musical phenomenon that sprouted in Germany in the late '60s and early '70s. Combining elements of Psychedelia, Prog Rock, Art Rock and Avante Garde, Krautrock became a movement unto itself. This 64 track anthology features cuts from Birth Control, Nektar, Anyone's Daughter, Guru Guru, Eloy, Pell Mell, and many others.

Cuban born Jon Secada is a very talented artist. There are two big tracks on the CD. These are "Just Another Day" and "Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte", which are basically the same song, except one is sung in English and the other in Spanish. No matter what language in which it is sung, it is a beautiful song. Unfortunately, the rest of the music does not meet the standard set by these two tracks. While solid, the rest of the tracks are nothing all that special. Still, it is a good, solid debut album.

Several months ago I read articles on the Dusty In Memphis cd reissues and it seems to be widely accepted that the 1992 Rhino issue is the best sounding one. Earlier this year I posted the 1999 Rhino Deluxe Edition which came in second to this one. I always thought that they were the same mastering but it seems that I was wrong. I just got this out-of-print mint cd last week on eBay and I wanted to share it with you guys.
