The Window Seat II brings to life the eternal pangs of fleeting youth and innocence with undying optimism, woven together in the fabric of a refined tapestry of folk-rock. The 2019 re-recording of the 2009 debut by New England native singer-songwriter Adam Reczek (which was itself admittedly a glorified demo) consists of eight songs that always deserved better, and now finally realize their long-overdue reincarnation. Pieced together in sporadic recording sessions in various home studios over the course of five years, the Window Seat II is a personal musical redemption tour concluding ten years to the day from the release of the first incarnation of the record.

Unless they've lost a passport abroad, most Americans have little appreciation for the reach and scope of the US Department of State or the perils faced by its employees. Reporter Glen Johnson had been covering politics for the Boston Globe when he received a job offer that would embed him in this world of protocols, planes, and global peacekeeping. His new boss would be Secretary of State John Kerry, set to become the most prominent diplomat on the world stage. Johnson sensed it was a meeting of man and moment.

When Aurora, or Roe, Teagarden's acquaintance from the disbanded hobby group, Real Murders, dies, Roe is bequeathed a small house and a not-so-small fortune. Roe soon discovers that her generous benefactress has left her more than she bargained for when she uncovers a skull in a carpeted window seat in the inherited house. Roe sets out to find out who the victim is and how his or her skull ended up in a spinster's window seat. Will Roe discover the murderer on Honor Street?

Drawing on the inspiration of electronica, ambient, classical and dance music as they take their strange, beautiful, cinematic, future music to exciting new vistas where the inspiration of Burial, Mount Kimbie and Flying Lotus rubs shoulders with the textures of Arve Henriksen and Bon Iver and echoes of Steve Reich and Max Richter. But all underpinned by a shared joy in collective music making as the band push their inimitable music into the future.
