Throughout the world, students of Wing Chun Kung Fu continue to publish articles about Grandmaster Ip Man, his life and achievements. Therefore to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Grandmaster Ip Man this chronicle is being produced for all those interested in Wing Chun Kung Fu.

After an undertaking of immense scale and precision (with 192 microphones in the Abbey and using over 7 miles of cable) the final recording was safely delivered and uploaded to digital streaming platforms across the globe, ready to be enjoyed by the public from this evening, complete with an official photograph from the Coronation ceremony as the album cover.

The 34 revised full papers, 20 revised short papers, and 14 posters presented together with 7 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 170 submissions. The papers are organized in sections on information retrieval, multimedia digital libraries, data mining in digital libraries, special purpose digital libraries, digital library services, digital libraries for community building, information retrieval and Asian languages, building and using digital libraries, metadata issues, algorithms and protocols, human-computer interaction, and digital library infrastructure.

Deep River of Song: African-American field recordings made for the Library of Congress from 1933 to 1946, a transformative period when black singers of the South and the Caribbean created a new musical language and thousands of brilliant songs that would captivate people throughout the world.

Tonight’s performance of Falstaff marked the final performance in the run of this new production by Sven-Eric Bechtolf of Verdi’s swansong at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. For this run, the house engaged a mainly Italian cast, joined by selected Hispanophone and/or US singers, led by John Eliot Gardiner. The result was an effervescent evening, received with audible pleasure by the Maggio audience.
