Injoy is an album by the Memphis, Tennessee-based funk band The Bar-Kays. Released on Mercury Records in October 1979, this album reached number two on the Billboard Soul Album chart. It was the band's biggest selling album, and their second to be certified Gold for sales of over 500,000 copies. The album’s first single, Move Your Boogie Body, was a Top 3 hit on the Billboard R&B singles chart. The album’s third track, Running In And Out Of My Life, also received substantial airplay and was a hit on R&B radio stations. It is one of the few Bar-Kays songs where the lead vocal is not performed by Larry Dodson. Sherman Guy performed the lead vocal with Dodson adding backgrounds.

All profits will help fight for AIDS/ HIV and related health issues around the world through the Red Hot Organization, a 501©3. This is the 20th album of original music produced by Red Hot to further its mission. Day of the Dead is the follow up to 2009’s Dark Was The Night (4AD), a 32track, multiartist compilation also produced by Aaron and Bryce for Red Hot. Dark Was The Night has raised over 1.5 million dollars for the organizations fighting AIDS to date.

Although it makes no mention of it anywhere on the package, The Gold Collection is actually a Count Basie live set and not the straightforward hits compilation it presents itself to be; although the song selection is fine (with "Lullaby of Birdland," "Jive at Five" and "How High the Moon" among the featured tracks), the fidelity is subpar, and with so many better Basie collections on the market this one is easy to avoid. ~ Jason Ankeny
