During the Chosun dynasty, the strict laws of Confucianism permeated an already male-dominant society. Eo Wu-Dong was born into a respectful, aristocratic family, but when she falls in love with a man of obscure birth, society tears them apart. Enraged by the rules of the aristocracy, Wu-Dong runs away, planning to take her own life if she cannot be with the man she loves. However a woman named Hyang-Ji intervenes, leading Wu-Dong to choose a different path. She becomes a courtesan and sets out to make the aristocrats her slaves, by using the only weapon she has - her body.

Su Qi-Er, a wealthy man living during the Qing Dynasty who loses his fortune and reputation as a result of a conspiracy against him. After being forced out onto the streets, Su dedicates his life to martial arts and reemerges as a patriotic hero known as the "King of Beggars.

Poor Ricky lives a simple life, working for a bottling company and he has a mean boss. Until he wins the mark six lottery his life changes. He gets sick one day and he fears the words of a fortune teller who told him when he becomes rich, he'll die. A mix-up of medical records confirms his fears and he hires a hitman to kill him. He's all smiles until he receives word that he's not going to die. He tries to call off the hit but the guy he hires dies before he can call the hit off and the Chaos begins.

The final battle is here! It continues from where it last stop. It also shows flashbacks to those who forget the story of part one. There is still John Woo's slow motion. There is a big epic battle, probably the biggest battle scene you have ever seen in a Chinese movie. But, somehow, I am slightly disappointed with it. I guess I would have expected more in the battle scene or at least, a better showdown with the two characters (I can't say who) at the last part. Despite the minor thing, it is still good as I am entertained with the intensity in it.

Junghwan rescues a nerdy female classmate, Eunju, from drowning in a lake during his High School Senior Class trip, but he forgets that no good deed goes unpunished. While serving in the military, he encounters her again when she shows up to spend time with him while he's on town pass.
