Nilüfer Yanya has announced a new three-song EP called Feeling Lucky? The record arrives December 11 via ATO. Yanya released her debut album Miss Universe last year, following three earlier EPs: 2016’s Small Crimes, 2017’s Plant Feed, and 2018’s Do You Like Pain? In July, she played a new song called “Day 7” for NPR’s “Tiny Desk” program.

Nilüfer Yanya returns with her highly anticipated follow up to 2022's critically acclaimed album PAINLESS. My Method Actor is yet another example of Yanya’s authenticity and innate creativity that effortlessly flows from pen to paper. The new single was written in collaboration with Yanya’s creative partner, Wilma Archer (Sudan Archives, MF DOOM, Celeste), with whom she’s previously collaborated on PAINLESS and her debut album Miss Universe. Throughout their creative process, a clear emphasis was placed on forming a safe musical space where creative impulses were encouraged and all perceived musical boundaries were eroded. This same process is reflected in the albums lyrics, which emphasize unrestricted artistry and standing firm in one’s truest self as Yanya attempts to make sense of the world around her. The album will be backed by a high level marketing campaign, strong press results and a host of videos and creative visuals conceptualized by Nilüfer herself. Following the album release Nilüfer will head out on a full scale North American tour, hitting all major markets.

Mercurial London artist Nilüfer Yanya releases her hugely anticipated second album Painless. It's the follow-up to Nilüfer Yanya’s renowned 2019 debut album Miss Universe, which fully established her as a singular artist and a distinctive voice that simply has to be heard.

Though she’d been writing songs in her head since she was six, and on the guitar since she was 12, it took a long time for Nilüfer Yanya to work up the courage to show anyone her music. “I knew I wanted to sing, but the idea of actually having to do it was really horrifying,” says the 23-year-old. When she was finally persuaded to do so, by a music teacher in West London where she grew up, she says “it was horrible. I loved it”.

Miss Universe was largely recorded in the same remote Penzance studio she used to jam in with her uncle Joe -a former musician himself -and features co-productions with both her former school guitar teacher The Invisible’s Dave Okumu and her live bandmates Jazzi Bobbi and Luke Bower, as well as producers John Congleton, Oli Barton-Wood, Will Archer and M.T. Hadley. Though she recorded much of it in the same remote Cornwall studio she used to jam in as a much younger person, it is bigger and more ambitious than anything she has done before.

Heading back to the band's studio in London, Bombay Bicycle Club have lovingly crafted album six. It's a powerful, expansive body of work, replete with an irrepressible dose of joy.

"Other than Junior Brown's label affiliation, little else has changed on the singer/guitarist's sixth album and first in four years. Honky tonk, rockabilly, and the rich sound of Bakersfield country are leavened with a healthy sense of humor ("Two Rons Don't Make It Right," "Where Has All the Money Gone?"), played with Brown's custom-made 12-string "guit-steel," and sung in his distinctive baritone.
