Yellow Submarine, Apple PCS 7070, January 17, 1969, stereo. Album have front laminated flipback sleeve. Covers were manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse. The stereo covers have PCS 7070 and Stereo in the upper right corner and red lines above and below rear sleevenote. The initial stereo covers have no information on the flaps. Later stereo sleeves have “Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943,895” on the lower flap. The records were housed in black inner sleeves with a die-cut circular opening on one side to expose the Apple label. These sleeves were most likely manufactured by Harrison & Sons.

The singing group, The Beatles, at the height of their popularity, made this cartoon of a land that is taken over by the Blue Meanies. They are recruited by an escapee to come and bring joy (and music) back to the land. The techniques are quite psychedelic in the cartoons and much care was taken to have the walks and mannerisms of the individual Beatles cartoons match the originals.

is a 1968 animated feature film based on the music of The Beatles. Released at the height of the psychedelic pop culture period of the 1960s, the movie was a box-office hit, drawing in crowds both for its lush, wildly creative images, and its soundtrack of Beatles songs. The film was directed by animation producer George Dunning, and produced by United Artists (UA) and King Features Syndicate. The Beatles themselves appear only in the closing scene of the film, with the Beatles characters in the film voiced by other actors.

comic book was an adaptation of the 1968 animated feature film based on the music of The Beatles published by Gold Key / Western Publishing in November 1968. According to rarebeatles.com this is the second rarest Beatles comic value-wise, and very scarce in NM/Mint condition. I had this comic when I was a kid in grade school. It had a big (20" x 12 1/2") fold-out -- or is it pull-out? -- poster stapled inside, that I remember putting up on the wall on top of my closet. A classmate borrowed the comic book; it was never returned. This CBR by the way includes the poster in 1946 x 1848 pixel dimensions at the last page.
