Because they work in a field that isn't usually taken seriously, the Pet Shop Boys are often ignored in the rock world. But make no mistake - they are one of the most talented pop outfits working today, witty and melodic with a fine sense of flair. Very is one of their very best records, expertly weaving between the tongue-in-cheek humor of "I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind of Thing," the quietly shocking "Can You Forgive Her?," and the bizarrely moving cover of the Village People's "Go West." Alternately happy and melancholy, Very is the Pet Shop Boys at their finest.

GONN - American garage rock band of the 1960s of Keokuk, Iowa. In 2004 GONN were introduced in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Iowa. Made European tours in 1997, 2001 and 2009, and recorded a new original album titled "GONN '45 Fully Loaded" in 2012.
If I rate Get Up With It a five, or maybe Live/Evil, or Big Fun, or On the Corner, fives, or maybe even Sketches of Spain, a five, or Kind of Blue, then I guess this is a three and a half, or a four, so I give it a four, as if this were American Bandstand. But it's a Miles Davis record. If it's Miles or Coltrane, or, oh I don't know, Poulenc, perhaps people could "check themselves" just a bit. Man With the Horn is a fine record, a bridge in some ways, if you will, between some of the pre-electric Miles, as "jazz," and the psychedelic fusion, and then the later fusion funk. Man With the Horn is precious to me, and not enough people appreciate it, in my opinion.
Looking Back to Yesterday is a 1986 compilation album featuring tracks from Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. As part of Motown's Never-Before-Released series, all songs were previously unreleased (except for "Love's Gone Bad", which was released in 1979 on the Motown compilation Boogie. "I Was Made To Love Her" also appeared on that album, but in an alternate take.) The album was re-released in August 1991 and re-titled Looking Back To Yesterday: A Young Michael.
