Formed by Uwe Haaß (bass, stick, warr guitar) sometime after leaving German band Tea For Two, Berlin-based outfit Zenobia started out sometime in the late 90's, with Frank Hoyer (vocals), Steffen Rohr (keybaords, synthesizer), Alexander Fischer (guitars) and Thorsten Kuhrasch (drums, percussion) as the additional members of the band. Their self-released debut "October" was issued in 1999; and it's strong influence from US progressive rock, the melancholy atmosphere and the symphonic style pursued earned them the nickname "the German Spock's Beard" at this time…
