Kurt Sloan is the corner-man for his brother, U.S. kickboxing champion Eric Sloan. When Kurt witnesses his brother become maliciously paralyzed in the ring by Thailand champion Tong Po, Kurt vows revenge. With the help of Zion, a kickboxing trainer who lives in a remote area of Thailand, Kurt trains for the fight of his life.

"The Straight Story" chronicles a trip made by 73-year-old Alvin Straight from Laurens, Iowa, to Mt. Zion, Wis., in 1994 while riding a lawn mower. The man undertook his strange journey to mend his relationship with his ill, estranged, 75-year-old brother Lyle.

At a dance hall Detective Paolo Germi (Claudio Cassinelli) meets Marisa a young woman who is in trouble and needs his help. The girl flees when a mysterious man in shades shows up at the dance hall. She frantically tries to escape her pursuer who always ends up one step ahead of her. The next morning the police find her mutilated corpse at a run down motel. Detective Germi launches his own investigation after hearing about Marisa’s death. He soon uncovers after the death of the next victim a friend of Marisa’s that there was a third girl and that they were all forced into prostitution. Will Detective Germi be able to find out who is behind these murders and expose them before all the witnesses have been murdered?

Violinist Jessica Moss and singer/guitarist Efrim Menuck are struggling to balance parenthood with making music in their internationally acclaimed Montreal-based band Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra. They are one of a growing number of bands to have accepted an infant (Efrim and Jessica's son, Ezra) into their touring life. Making a living has never been more difficult for musicians: a downloading generation has shattered the economics of the music industry, and constant touring has become synonymous with economic survival. Touring with children is both costly and complicated, yet Jessica and Efrim, and fellow band mates Sophie Trudeau, Thierry Amar and Dave Payant, are determined to combine family life and being on the road with the band's deep political commitment.
