Beautiful Garbage is the third studio album from Garbage, initially released on October 1, 2001. Marking a departure from the sound the band had established on their first two releases, Garbage & Version 2.0, the album was written and recorded over the course of a year, when lead singer Shirley Manson chronicled their efforts weekly online, becoming one of the first high-profile musicians to keep an Internet blog. The album expanded on the band's musical variety, with stronger melodies, more direct lyrics, and sounds mixing rock with electronica, new wave, hip hop, and girl groups.

This deluxe edition features 15 unreleased tracks that pull back the curtain on the creative process. Those include early versions of nearly every song on the album with nascent incarnations of 'Tumble In The Rough', 'Pop's Love Suicide', and 'Seven Caged Tigers'.

On 22nd June, 1971, Joni Mitchell released Blue, concluding her prolific four album run for Reprise Records with an album considered by many to be one of the greatest of all time. To celebrate the album's 50th anniversary, Rhino is releasing 'The Reprise Albums (1968-1971)', the next installment of the Joni Mitchell Archives series, featuring newly remastered versions of 'Blue' (1971) and the three albums that came before it: 'Song To A Seagull' (1968), 'Clouds' (1969), and 'Ladies of the Canyon' (1970).

Emerging from the Liverpool group scene during the goldrush years, The Merseybeats' combination of Everly Brothers-style vocal harmonies and adroitly-chosen beat boom ballads saw them record several hit singles (including 'I Think Of You', which reached the Top Five), a brace of very popular EPs and a self-titled album that spent a couple of months in the LP charts. After their superb version of 'I Stand Accused' (a big favourite of local teenager Elvis Costello, later to cover the song) failed to become the huge success that it deserved to be, group leaders Tony Crane and Billy Kinsley reinvented themselves as vocal duo The Merseys, who recorded one of the classic mid-Sixties pop hits in 'Sorrow', subsequently quoted in Beatles track 'It's All Too Much' and taken back into the charts a few years later by David Bowie. 'Sorrow' was followed by a handful of Merseys singles that, although less successful, are now highly regarded by admirers of late Sixties British pop and psychedelia, and are now legitimately assembled under one roof for the first time.

Alphaville will reissue their second and third albums Afternoons In Utopia and The Breathtaking Blue in May, both with remastered audio and bonus material.
