"Echoes of an Era" is an album by American R&B/Jazz singer Chaka Khan with Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White. The album sees Khan interpreting jazz standards like Thelonious Monk's "I Mean You" and Duke Ellington's "Take the 'A' Train", as well as "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most", "All of Me", and "I Loves You Porgy". The album was originally not released as a Chaka Khan studio album (who was signed to Warner Bros. Records at the time) but as a band collaboration under the moniker "Echoes of an Era" and with all six performers credited on the album cover.

"Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Songbook" is a collection of songs by George and Ira Gerswhin and recorded by Ella Fitzgerald and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Recorded in 1959 when Ella was 41, the collection contains 59 compositions by Gershwin, which were arranged by Nelson Riddle. One notable performance from this recording is Fitzgerald's rendition of "But Not for Me", which won her the 1960 Grammy Award for Best Vocal Performance (Female). Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Songbook was also listed as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear before You Die.

"An Evening With Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock" was the first of two popular live albums recorded by Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, the second Corea/Hancock released a year after the first in 1979. The record features the two performing on acoustic pianos at three different venues across California and one in Michigan. "An Evening With Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock" features cover works as well as pieces written by the duo and individual works by each artist.

Clifford Burton Barrows was a longtime music and program director for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He had been a part of the Graham organization since 1949. Barrows was best known as the host of Graham's weekly Hour of Decision radio program, and the song leader and choir director for the crusade meetings.
