The first of two albums recorded at the legendary final appearance of the Bill Evans Trio at the Village Vanguard, these recordings have long been recognized as capturing the unique interaction that characterized the trio of Evans, LaFaro and Motian. This new edition of Sunday at the Village Vanguard is released as part of the OJC Series and is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. It is presented in a Tip-On Jacket. This reissue features remastered audio from the original master tapes and also is available on 192/24 hi res digital.

This album is a bold reimagining of Robert Schumann's beloved song cycle, Dichterliebe, based on the artists' cutting-edge research into the earliest surviving recordings of singers and pianists - including musicians directly connected to Schumann. The musical result is jarring at first, and then increasingly compelling: a creative freedom and rhetorical flair bordering on wildness, which belies the years of careful study of historical source material that made such risk-taking possible.

Considered one of the most talented musicians of his time, distinguished himself in church and theatre alike, Henry Purcell (1659-1695) began his career as a keyboard musician. In this recording, Jean-Luc Ho evokes different facets of the composer's activity and his European influences, alternating original pieces with transcriptions rooted in the practice of 17thcentury harpsichordists and organists.

A couple of years back, UK-based House and Soul DJ Jerry Frempong’s wife Kate was doing a Spring -clean at the family home. Francois Francoeur (1698-1787) was, besides Jean-Marie Leclair, one of the most important representatives of the French violin school. He was able to combine the technical virtuosity of Italian provenance with French elegance and smooth melody. The Deuxieme Livre de sonate a violon seul et basse continue was published around 1730. The baroque violinist Anais Chen presents, together with Daniel Rosin and Maria Gonzalez, six of the twelve sonatas, which, on their first hearing, make you want more music from Francoeur.

As Blackfield, the duo of Aviv Geffen and Steven Wilson has worked together intermittently across 22 years, going back to 2000. The entirety of the project's output through to 2017 is captured on An Accident of Stars: 2004-2017.
