German act ARGOS initially started out as a solo project by multi-instrumentalist and composer Thomas Klarmann, an experienced musician who started out in prog and fusion bands in the 70's. He abandoned the progressive part of the music scene more and more as time went by though, concentrating on jazz, but when he discovered the new progressive movement in the mid 90's spearheaded by acts like Flower Kings and Spock's Beard, the passion for making and performing progressive music returned as well.
For the last 12 years, ’77 have been bringing the classic rock’n’roll energy from the 70’s back with an unapologetic vengeance. Holding bands like The Stooges, The Who, AC/DC and Black Sabbath in high regard, it’s easy to figure out exactly what this band is all about. Consisting of brothers Armand Valeta on vocals and guitar and LG Valeta on guitar and vocals, Dani Martin on bass and vocals and Andy Cobo on drums; ’77 was initially formed by the brothers in 2006 and named as a tribute to AC/DC’s critically acclaimed album “Let There Be Rock”, which was released in 1977. Now in April of 2018, they’re still going strong with the recent release of their 5th LP called “Bright Gloom”…
