This is Elvis doing what he did best; captivating audiences around the world with his incredible live shows. Lesser performers would insist on recording and editing their performances but the King had absolute belief in his talent and ability. Throughout his career he was always prepared to broadcast his work live. This is the definitive proof of Elvis as a live phenomenon. None of these performances were pre-recorded. They were all broadcast absolutely live with no edits or overdubs. For these amazing shows there was no safety net, no retakes or the chance to correct a mistake. What you see here is the most honest picture of the most remarkable performer in history.

"Live! In California" was recorded absolutely live (no overdubs) over two nights at The Satellite club in Los Angeles in December 2015. The album features 76 minutes of the trio's unique brand of high-energy psychedelic rock n' roll. The material is pulled from all their studio albums and the songs feature new arrangements. "Live! In California" also includes the previously unreleased song "Chance Of Fate", a cover of the seventies' band Saint Anthony's Fyre.

The idea of a live album as a documentary is a naïvely outdated one. For decades, fans have understood that, if one wanted to hear a tip-to-tail, warts-and-all live performance by one of their favorite musicians, a bootleg would be just about the only way, since the "live" albums typically released by most acts were usually cobbled together from multiple performances (and sometimes even across multiple tours).

Stingingly sweet slide guitar and barrelhouse piano come to life on this spontaneously authentic and passionate recording from these seasoned blues veterans. "This recording contains thirteen of those songs just as they sounded that Sunday when they were recorded live at Mojo Boneyard Studios. This is how the band sounds at any number of clubs in and around the Pittsburgh area. These are all first takes and a fair representation of the energy and spontaneous creativity that the band exhibits when we’re swinging out in the clubs. I had a good time making music with these fine musicians and I'm glad we captured some of it on this recording. It’s been a long time comin" ~ Jimmy Adler

In Concert is the successor CD set to the individual releases of Absolutely Live (which remains in print as a single CD), Alive, She Cried, and Live at the Hollywood Bowl – as none of them presented more than a single angle or two of the group's sound and each confined itself to only a portion of the group's repertoire, the three-in-one release makes perfect sense and is a decent bargain…
