The twelve cello sonatas have survived in a manuscript dated 1725 from the collection of Count von Schönborn in Wiesentheid.

This album from Alex Alguacil features all the piano works that Granados composed inspired by the world of Goya, with the well-known suite “Los Majos Enamorados” but some other less known “Goyesque” works such as Jácara, Serenata Goyesca, Crepúsculo, Intermezzo and Reverie-Improvisation, along with the popular El Pelele.

Alex Somers is an American composer and producer who currently resides in Los Angeles, having spent most of the last decade living in Reykjavík, Iceland, where he studied visual art at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Alex was born in Baltimore and studied composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston.Alex began scoring for film and TV in 2011 and has collaborated with Jónsi to compose music and produce songs for We Bought A Zoo, How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy, Aloha, season one of WGN’s Manhattan, and The Circle.He has since gone on to score films including Shia LaBeouf's Honey Boy, Taylor Swift's Netflix original documentary Miss Americana and, most recently, the Apple original animated film titled Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth.
