Choosing to reestablishwell-known music works in a new light using interesting arrangements, AVIDO Duo gives them a new character and sound while still upholding their creative foundations. Within its innovative aspect,“Spotlights” strivesto connect diverse musical époques andestablish anintricate contextual bridge between them. The concept’s structure is basedin a development of the music spawning from the Baroque era, over the Classical music period, until the pieces of modern music and Duo’s own improvisations. This progress is presented by the unusualblend of sound timbres,musically arranged in a way to enable the interchanging of the melody between the two instruments.“Spotlights” simultaneously showcases and glides through the musical époques, crossing between them with an unnoticeable transition with a sophisticated sound conception, ultimately creating a new artistic-musical endeavor!

Alvaro Collao León (Master of Arts, Performance and Education) is a chilean saxophonist based in Vienna (AT), Artistic director of the Tarapacá international music festival and ChileSaxFest. His Saxophone and Artistic studies have taken place in Santiago de Chile under the guidance of Miguel Villafruela in the University of Chile, in France at the Conservatoire of Bordeaux with Marie-Bernardette Charrier and in Austria at the Music of Arts Privat University of the city of Vienna with Lars Mlekusch.
