Guadalupe López Íñiguez’s debut recording includes complete cello works from Gabrielli and Scarlatti, Recorded with the best baroque musicians in Finland. "I have included music that played an important role in my desired transformation from a “contemporary-trained” cellist to a “historically inspired” one. The reasons for such a desire are numerous and span several years and different experiences in my life,” (Guadalupe). Doctor of Psychology and Master of Music Guadalupe López Íñiguez is a Spanish academic– musician based at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. Guadalupe has performed as a soloist on period cellos in different festivals. She is especially grateful for the encouragement received from artists Rafael Ramos, Markku Luolajan- Mikkola, and Ciro Rodríguez Perelló. Her artistic and scientific research comprises all her areas of expertise—namely psychology, sociology, research methodology, education, and musicology—in understanding the holistic performance of classical music.

In one regard, Queen II does indeed provide more of the same thing as on the band's debut. Certainly, of all the other albums in Queen's catalog it bears the closest resemblance to its immediate predecessor, particularly in its lean, hard attack and in how it has only one song that is well-known to listeners outside of their hardcore cult: in this case, it's "Seven Seas of Rhye," which is itself more elliptical than "Keep Yourself Alive," the big song from the debut. But these similarities are superficial and Queen II is a very different beast than its predecessor, an album that is richer, darker, and weirder, an album that finds Queen growing as a band by leaps and bounds.

The world is remarkable in that people from far off places and different walks of life can have an immediate, dramatic impact on each other after meeting just once. The notion of meeting a newcomer who embraces new people and ideas but also freely puts forth his own ideas is the theme of guitarist Davy Mooney and drummer Ko Omura’s new recording, Benign Strangers. Originally from New Orleans, Mooney is a longtime regular on the New York scene and, for the past year, he has been teaching at his alma mater, the University of North Texas in Denton. Mooney’s two Sunnyside releases, Perrier Street and Hope of Home, highlight his fantastic playing and composing with an incredible cast of musicians graced with the New Orleans magic, including saxophonist John Ellis, pianist Jon Cowherd and drummer Brian Blade.

Dominique Vantomme of VANTOMME, is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, band leader, music educator and producer, equally well known for his work with many European pop and rock acts as for being the jazz piano instructor at the Music Conservatory in Kortrijk, Belgium. This album was born from his nomadic adventures: traveling in 2016 to see Stick Men, in Holland, and meeting up with old pal, MoonJune's Leonardo Pavkovic; and shortly thereafter befriending the legendary bassist/stickist Tony Levin of the King Crimson, Peter Gabriel and Stick Men hall of fame.

On 14 September 2016, the band revealed they had begun working on a new album through their Facebook account. A month later, frontman Biff Byford revealed they had written a song dedicated to Motörhead called "They Played Rock n Roll" (as the death of iconic frontman Lemmy in late 2015 forced them to split), which is stylistically similar and referenced their 1979/1980 touring companionship.
