One of the most prolific and influential film composers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Germany's Hans Zimmer began his music career in London, producing and playing synths for a variety of new wave and punk bands in the early 1980s. After founding a recording studio with film scorer Stanley Myers, their work on films such as 1985's My Beautiful Laundrette fused the traditional orchestral aesthetic of film composition with state-of-the-art electronics and proved influential on countless soundtracks to follow.

This stunning album sees Hans Zimmer arrange some of his most successful and recognizable compositions into electrifying concert suites for orchestra, choir and an impressive list of soloists. Recorded in the prestigious Wiener Konzerthaus, the album features the renowned Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Neue Wiener Stimmen choir under the baton of award-winning conductor Martin Gellner. Included in the album are some of Zimmer’s most popular hits: The Dark Knight, Inception, Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Da Vinci Code and many more.

Zimmer’s critically acclaimed European Tour arrived at the sold out O2 Arena in the Czech capital, bringing with him a support cast of 72 musicians, which included a full choir, symphony orchestra and his own 21-piece hand-picked backing band that featured Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and many of Academy Award-winner Hans’ closest friends and collaborators.

His credits include some of the biggest blockbuster movies of all time along with acclaimed TV series such as The Crown and Planet Earth II.
