A change of outfit can do wonders for one’s outlook on life. Just ask Robert Ellis. Never one to be bashful about the pleasures of a good suit — witness his specially made space cowboy threads from recent years — he wears that flair firmly on the sleeve of his new LP, Texas Piano Man. Donning a sharp white tuxedo that gleams like a blank slate against the blue skies and rolling hills of Marfa, Texas, it’s a turn that Ellis comes by honestly.

We are really excited to bring the next Round Records release to you all – in the form of a live album compilation – DŸNÄMIZER!We have happened upon recordings from over the years, of both Ginger solo, and The Wildhearts. These have been spruced up by our resident Wizard, Mr Dave Draper, who has worked his magic and also salvaged a few songs from the 2016 Hallowe’en Hootenanny.

Heading into the 90’s, the waters were a bit rocky for the hard rock/metal world. The landscape was changing and bands such as Warrant, Poison, and Skid Row who all at one time were selling out arenas and amphitheaters found themselves playing to 1/2 full venues and in some cases reduced to playing half full clubs. It was also a bad time for new bands of the genre who were coming out. While this was true, it definitely didn’t mean that these bands weren’t any good. As a matter of fact, bands like Tora Tora, War Babies, and Babylon AD were doing this stuff as good if not better than many of their peers. Of those acts, one band and their debut album rose above them all to really blow my mind. That band was Slik Toxik and the album was Doin the Nasty.

"There's so much pressure to constantly improve," says Lydia Night, lead singer and songwriter for The Regrettes . "We're obsessed with social media, which makes it easy to be obsessed with self-actualization and unhealthy productivity. That phrase, "Further Joy," sums up what it means to be on the hamster wheel of constantly chasing happiness, but that's what makes us miserable," she adds, recalling the inner turmoil she, guitarist Genessa Gariano, bassist Brooke Dickson and drummer Drew Thomsen struggled with early last year. "I was stuck in a loop of wanting to be better, wanting to be good, and so I couldn't be here. I couldn't be present." The desire to break out of that cycle is what the band's third album, Further Joy , is all about - which comes out April 8
