"7" is the seventh studio album by French DJ and record producer David Guetta, released on 14 September 2018 by What a Music, Parlophone Records and Warner Music. Released as a double album, the collection features commercial pop collaborations on the first disc, whilst disc two features underground house music akin to Guetta's starting roots as a DJ. The latter is credited to Jack Back, which Guetta revealed to be his alias and as a means to release more dance music alongside his pop collaborations. This side of the album was also released independently as a mixtape titled the Jack Back Project, preceded by the release of the song "Overtone". "7" was made available to pre-order on 23 August 2018 via Guetta's official website with options to pre-save the album stream on Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer, as well as purchase via Amazon as either a digital download, CD or vinyl.

In an interview with Jax Jones on Beats 1 about “Drive (feat. Delilah Montagu),” his collaboration with South African producer Black Coffee, Guetta described the tough, enlightening, and often magical process of bringing musicians from different scenes and cultures together to create. “We had friendly fights–but we did have fights,” he said, describing Black Coffee’s more minimal production style. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean it’s too big?’ There’s nothing that can be too big!’ He was Mr. Minus and I was Mr. Plus.”

By contrast to Billie Holiday, AVID’s next female jazz singer travelled a very different career path! Peggy Lee was born five years later than Billie in 1920 and had an equally tough upbringing courtesy of a cruel stepmother. Fortunately she managed to escape and by 1941 found her way into the Benny Goodman Band. Briefly settling down to married life she was back at Capitol Records by 1944 and ready to continue her recording career. Our first CD in this fine re-mastered double features Peggy with Bing Crosby on his hugely popular radio shows where she was a regular favourite.

Wonderful music blend of folk songs by Putumayo. All the artists are from nations (mainly in South America) with common characteristic the growing and export of coffee. A portion of the proceeds from this release (which spans 1982-1996) went to Coffee Kids, a New England-based non-profit organization whose goal was to improve conditions for coffee growers and their families in coffee-producing countries. The songs themselves are like the drink itself. They can be soothing to the senses or can grab your attention and "wake you up." Enjoy a very beautiful album.
